1. Selecting the Wrong Type of Ladder
Ladder accidents can result from using wrong ladders for the job such as wrong height and weight. In fact, standing on the top rung of the ladder is very dangerous, often causing falls and injuries. Therefore, we should always consider the ladder’s weight capacity. Manufacturers design all ladders to support only a certain weight. If that limit is exceeded, the ladder may break, causing the user to fall and be injured. For example, we can see the loading capacity label on the ladder. If a person with over 100 Kg, using a ladder with 100 Kg loading may cause fall because of the broken parts.
2. Using Damaged Ladders
Ladders have a limited product-life because material and parts will be ageing. Damaged ladders are very dangerous, causing falls and injuries and even deaths. Therefore, we always inspect the ladder very carefully prior to use.
3. Incorrect Use of Ladders
We should never use a ladder in any other way than what the manufacturer intended it to be used for.
When using ladders, we must always use three (3) points of contact with the ladders.
We hope our customers always stay safe at work, please do not hesitate to contact us if you need help on working on ladder/ Scaffold.
